Dan Te Whenua Walker

Dan Te Whenua Walker is the Founder and Chief Executive of Te Whare o Toitū AI, a kaupapa Māori artificial intelligence company grounded in data sovereignty and mana motuhake. He is a doctoral candidate at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi, researching Māori leadership in AI. Dan holds governance roles across the motu, including Board Chair of Child Cancer Foundation and Director positions with Tātaki Auckland Unlimited and NZ Māori Tourism. His work focuses on how Māori can lead, shape and benefit from emerging technology, championing a shift from consumers to creators in the AI space.
