Piripi Winiata

Piripi Winiata is a Director at Kawea Law and a graduate of Te Panekiretanga o Te Reo, specialising in Crown-Māori relations, corporate governance, policy, compliance and Māori commercial law. He is a key figure behind Te Pōkaitara, the Ngāti Kahungunu Institute of Excellence in Language and Tikanga, established to foster fluent, confident leadership speakers within the iwi. Piripi is also helping establish the first kura ā-iwi in Kahungunu. His work reflects a strong commitment to te reo Māori, tikanga and supporting Māori excellence across iwi, community and commercial kaupapa.
