Te Uranga Belk

Te Uranga Belk is a Director at Kawea Law and a senior Māori legal adviser with extensive experience across community law, Crown prosecutions, government policy and commercial law. A graduate of Te Panekiretanga o Te Reo, she has taught te reo Māori across the motu and chaired two kōhanga reo. Te Uranga advises on Māori access to capital and major Crown commercial projects, and serves as a trustee and director on the commercial board for Tūaropaki. Her work has also supported the development of legal mechanisms to protect mātauranga Māori, te reo, native taonga species and tikanga within Māori-led commercial enterprise.
